Which Dublin will you be in for St.Patrick's Day? There are 21 towns or cities named Dublin in the U.S.

Most people I'm sure know about, have heard about or have even been to St.Patrick's Day in Dublin, Ireland. It's an annual event accompanied by a week festival, a celebration of Irish music, culture and tradition with the highlight being the parade on St.Patrick's Day itself. Last year over half a million people packed the streets of the city to get a good view of the parade.

But did you know there at least nine cities called Dublin in the United States. Here we thought we'd take a quick look at some of these Irish cities, their Irish origins and how they mark St. Paddy's Day.

Dublin, California

Dublin, California is suburb city just east of San Francisco. In 1850 Irish settlers bought Land from Amador, a Mexican soldier and founded a town. Several preserved historical sites in the city show the Irish origins, Murray Schoolhouse, the old cemetery, Green's Grocery Store and Od St.Raymond's Church.

Some of this city's festivities for St.Patrick's Day and weekend include; a Green and White Gala, a Pancake Breakfast, a Parade and a Shamrock 5km fun run and walk.

Dublin, Georgia

The layout of the land reminded the original Irish settlers of their homeland and hence the name. It's Irish name prompted radio personalities to organize a small event in 1966 and the rest as they say is history.

Dublin, GA is said to be the largest Dublin in the United States. Their celebrations goes on for a month. Highlights include; St.Patrick's Memory Walk, Miss Emerald City Pageant, The Littlest Leprechaun Contest, The Blessing of the Bikes as well as the parade.

Dublin, Ohio

The original village was named by an Irishman named John Shields who arrived in 1810. Annual events include a St. Patrick's Day parade, and the Dublin Irish Festival, which is one of America's largest Irish festivals.

Highlights of their celebrations include 'The Inflation Celebration', a performance by 'The Holligans' and 'The Greenest, Grandest St.Patrick's Day Parade' you've ever seen!

Dublin, Texas

In 2005 Governor Rick Perry signed a bill designating Dublin as the official Irish Capital of Texas. Thus Dublin is known to be home to many people of Irish American descent.
