Erykah Badu And Wu-Tang Clan Lead SXSW D.C. Showcase Lineup

For the 5th consecutive year, SXSW featured a Washington D.C. Showcase with musical guests from the city as well as organizations representing "some of the most innovative and inclusive companies in the world."

While the showcase, which took place March 11 through March 13, highlighted many of D.C.'s offerings - including food, technology and sports and entertainment - the third and final day of the showcase featured an exciting musical lineup. Not only did D.C. artists such as Young Rapids, BOOMScat and Thievery Corporation perform, but Erykah Badu and Wu-Tang Clan took the stage.

While Badu and Wu-Tang Clan were not artists from D.C., both have performed numerous times in the district and inspired artists from the area.
