Sam Patch releases 'Listening'

Sam Patch, moniker for Arcade Fire bassist Tim Kingsbury, released a new single Tuesday. This is the second offering from his debut album, Yeah You, And I. The album will also include the single “St. Sebastian,” which was released last month.

“Listening” is a desperate and gritty guitar jam. While it sounds different from Arcade Fire’s unique sonic sensibilities, there’s still an air of familiarity layered under the pattering percussion.

Yeah You, And I is set to be released February 17th and features a slew of collaborations, including one with Jeremy Gara, the drummer for Arcade Fire. It will be followed up by a ten-stop tour in the U.S. and Canada kicking off March 2.
