One Direction's new film connotes wild side
In a Twitter Q&A on Thursday, the Super Size Me director said: "The film is just them being themselves - and we all get to go along for the ride.
"They are free spirits, they do what they want. That's what makes them who they are.
"We've been with them almost non-stop for the past four months, so there will be tons of genuine moments with them outside of tour life.
"We spend a lot of down time with the band, their families and friends. We really wanted you to see what their 'normal' lives are like.
"There have been some really lovely emotional moments that we've captured. I think fans may shed a tear or two while watching.
"One of the things I really love about the lads is how much they care about and support each other. They really stand by one another."
He also spoke about some of the footage fans can expect to see in the film: "More shirtless moments than you can imagine - how many of those make it into the final film we'll have to wait and see.
"I know a lot of fans love those flowing locks, so I may have to plan some special 'hair-iel' shots for the film.
"You can't film One Direction without capturing their wild side! And that fun attitude is infectious; it takes over the whole film crew. Working with the band has been a real thrill."
