Laura Marling Performs For BBC Radio 6

Laura Marling is nearing the release of her sixth full-length album titled Semper Femina. Out March 10 via Marling's own More Alarming Records, the album is the result of Marling's search for a neautral way to write about women and the final product is a brilliant, fresh feminine narrative. To celebrate her accomplishment, Marling performed her new music for BBC Radio 6.

She kicked things off with "Wildfire," a track that sonically tributes the stylings of Patti Smith while also effortlessly combining jazzy, smooth vocals that pack a soft punch. Marling then gave a debut exclusive performance of the album's third track, "The Valley." The song is minimalistic enough to showcase traditional folk sounds and is innovative enough to keep listeners interested.

Take a listen to the live session here, beginning in the last hour of the radio show.
