Justin Vernon Teases the Release of a Pair of New Songs

Justin Vernon excited fans with one simple photo shared via Twitter. In it, a list of several unreleased songs can be found.

Two of those tracks are credited to Vernon. One is called "Thoughts on People 1" and the other is "Shittiest Day in American History," which most can safely assume refers to that one day in November 2016 or in January of the following year.

The songs appear to be from the new PEOPLE mixtape, which assembles the National's Dessner brothers. Elsewhere, the tracklist teases new songs from various artists such as Big Red Machine—Vernon's project with Aaron Dessner—Marijuana Deathsquads, Psymum and more.

Vernon's PEOPLE festival is set to return in Berlin August 18-19. The festival formerly known as the Michelberger Music event will, once again, feature over 150 artists set to perform, workshops, collaborations and improvisations.
