Jack Antonoff Fights Anti-LGBTQ Legislation With An Army Of A-Listers

Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and fun. has penned an open letter to Texas legislators with the help of 142 fellow stars. The note is in direct opposition to a proposed piece of legislation that would take the state backwards in terms of LGBTQ rights. Antonoff and friends highlight specific bills such as a bathroom bill and a bill that would force teachers to notify parents of students' sexuality.

Bon Iver, Grimes, Grizzly Bear, St. Vincent, Wilco, CHVRCHES and PWR BTTM are among the list of people to sign their name to the letter. Speaking to Billboard, Antonoff dissects various aspects of the letter and the general urgency in making it go viral.

"Our support means a lot. Our support is financial, it has to do with the economy, it's artistic, it's all of it," he says. "I wrote this letter because I want them to know that me and all of my friends—all of these wonderful artists and actors and writers and designers—are watching Texas and are not OK with this happening."
