Feist: Essentials

Reportedly releasing a new album this April, Feist is making her way back to music. This will be the singer's first new album since 2011's Metals, although she has remained active in the Canadian collective Broken Social Scene.

While a new album hasn't necessarily been confirmed, Feist is slotted for a performance at Justin Vernon's Eaux Claires Festival in Wisconsin. A recent share on her Facebook page linked to an article mentioning an upcoming release.

Rising to fame with "1234," the ever-omnipresent song featured in an Apple commercial, Feist is a blend of Carla Bruni and Florence and the Machine. While none of her releases have surpassed the fame of "1234," still-popular tracks such as "How Come You Never Go There" and "I Feel It All" are gentle pop-rock songs that border on ethereal folk.
